Instant Coffee Vs Coffee Beans?

What even is the difference? Isn’t all coffee all the same?

In first instance, instant coffee is extracted from coffee beans and has a shelf life of 2-20 years in the pantry, pending on packaging, lighting, moisture & heat. Most instant coffees are packaged in aluminium layers, so mould has little chance of getting in and helps prolong the shelf life.

Coffee Beans on the other hand, once roasted, have a shelf life of up to 5 weeks. As like instant coffee, how this is measured also depends on packaging, lighting, moisture & heat.

But why is that?

There are many different variables that come into play when talking about differences. 2 things that stand out would be Time and Quality.
